Michel and his team is very kind and helpful. Very nice decoration
The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Rooms were clean and immaculately decorated. Breakfast is fresh fruit, eggs made to order, coffee and juice. The bar is fantastic and a great place to meet other tourists not necessarily staying at this hotel.
Unfortunately, the location of this hotel leaves much to be desired. It is adjacent to a very dangerous alley. My husband and I were actually mugged on our first night there, one block from the hotel. We hired a driver to escort us around the next day and felt much safer. Also, we made sure to stay away from anything that even resembled a dark alley. If the locals tell you to stay away from certain streets, listen to them! Don't carry anything flashy with you, or even a purse or a shopping bag. Do all your shopping during the day and leave your bags at the hotel. Use common sense and be aware of your surroundings at night.
The hotel is very unique -its small and cozy, yet not for everyone. It does not have an elevator - which didn't bother us at all :) Its location is absolutely perfect - right in the midst of the historical center. The staff was very nice and helpful - especially Raphael.
The area at night is spooky - so we didn't go out after 21:00, but the hotel has nothing to do with it of course. The a/c costs aditional 20 reals - or to be exact the remote control to the a/c - that was just weird. There is no food place near the hotel at night and no restaurant in the hotel open after 22:00. Again - too spooky to go out :)
Everything: location, food, facilities, interior decoration. Excellent value for money.
The hotel was a great find full of character and charm.
The area was a little sketchy at night.
the location is very convinient and and the decoration is very charming.the breakfast was tasty and varied
the sofas in the living room were old and unconfortable
The room was really comfortable, clean and good appliances. The staff really helpful, special mention for Marcio who was always kind and ready to help; also Michel who was really helpfully great to send me and object left behind when I left the hotel. Thank you guys the breakfast is so delicious and well prepared. Always fresh and tasty.
The side streets had people taking and selling drugs, but this is obviously not the hotel's fault!!! Visitors should take care when walking in the area at night.
stairs ------ walk through restaurant/ bar on ground level------across from busy /noisy square
Wonderful nice and charming hotel. Located in the middle of "Pelourinho" in Salvador. Very friendly and helpful staff (special thanks to Nataly and Michel) which are doing everything they can to make your stay as best as possible. Absolutely recommendable!
The style of the Hotel was just wonderful. The decoration of every room was very special. In the morning before the Café is open we could also use the Internet for free. The breakfast buffet was great a lot of fresh food and fruits. The location directly at the Praça de Sé is perfect to visit the old town of Salvador even though late in the evening you should not go out because the area is said to be a bit dangerous. Thus we stayed at the Café in the evening and had our Caipirinhas there which was no bad choice!
The staff were quite helpful on issues of general information about the city.
The rooms were very hot. Only a ceiling fan provided in 30 degree Centigrade heat. Made for very uncomfortable nights. Also an infestation of mosquitoes!
The breakfast is absolutely fantastic and in such a beautiful dining area. I also like the slightly wonky billiard table and free internet at night.
The extreme heat could mean paying extra for air conditioning if the fan doesn't do the job.
What a gem!!! This was the nicest hotel we stayed at during our stay in Brazil: the rooms are very spacious and tastefully decorated, the hotel iself is very inviting and clean, the location couldn' be more central, and the breakfast was a feast (fresh juices, tasty pastries, jams - all homemade). All the staff and owners are super friendly and helpful, and if you are not comfortable to go out at night, there is a restaurant and a good bar in house.
Since you are in the middle of a hustling town, there is a lot of noise, and it doesn't stop. So, enjoy this superb hotel - but do bring some earplugs!
The design of the interior
Staff (awfull, very unhelpfull, slow and don't do what they promised); breakfast was ok, but if you're not late
The hotel was beautifully furnished and the rooms big. Fantastic breakfast. The owner was very friendly and helpful.
This hotel is not in a safe area, we got mugged outside the hotel. The water ran out if more than one person was taking a shower.
